Hello! My name is K. Henderson, I am currently completing my doctoral program at Liberty University. With over forty years of lived experience in the systems of care and mental health counseling fields, I have worked extensively with my own foster and adopted children. My heart is deeply committed to supporting and training foster and adoptive families on their mental health journey. The fusion of my lived experiences with formal education has given me a unique perspective and a hybrid approach that challenges the confines of traditional treatment modalities.

My work and passion are intrinsically tied to my spiritual faith. Whether tending to my backyard garden or nurturing the tender hearts of those who visit my office, I find immense joy in these endeavors. I have been happily married to my husband, Chris, for sixteen years, and our two adult daughters live nearby.

In my role as the Serve-Director at Free Church in Salem, Oregon, I oversee outreach and counseling programs. The culmination of my private practice and the vision of Free Church has resulted in the establishment of the Community Care and Counseling Center, where I currently serve as the Chairman of the Board and the Executive Director.
