This is Our Story
Started Feb. 15, 2024Hi and welcome to the Community Care and Counseling Center! Our evidence-based approach guides our work as we strive to rebuild communities and strengthen families, one person at a time.
The Community Care and Counseling Center (CCCC) endeavors to be a ministry of presence. Our main goals are to preserve families and strengthen communities. Our strategy is to provide training and support to the service workers within the systems of care. This includes but is not limited to the departments of human services, justice departments, first responders/emergency management and mental/medical health community. We desire to care for those individuals who are exposed to vicarious trauma, transference issues, and trauma resulting from their position in the care of the community
We propose to meet this need through individual, family, and group counseling and psychoeducation. Within our community care tier, psychoeducational support groups are being developed and implemented to address the needs of the systems of care departments. Each systems department will be facilitated by a peer with lived life experience. This facilitator will be overseen and supported by a state approved clinical mental health supervisor to ensure all clinical protocol is observed and best-practice mental health interventions are utilized.
